In short: deep sea fishing in Dubai with us means a private boat for your group only, a captain and crew who know the local grounds, and all the gear on board. Trips run in the daytime, last at least 4 hours and start at AED 375 per hour for the whole boat (AED 1,500 for 4 hours). You take your catch home.

What deep sea fishing in Dubai really means
Many people picture a long run far out into the ocean. In Dubai, an offshore trip is simpler than that. You leave from Dubai Marina or Dubai Harbour, pass the Marina skyline and the Palm Jumeirah, and fish the open water and structure off the coast: the Palm Jumeirah breakwaters, the waters around The World islands and nearby reefs. The captain chooses the spot on the day, based on the weather, the current and what has been biting.
It is a different experience from casting off a pier or the beach. You are on a boat that can move with the fish, and the crew rigs the rods for you. That makes deep sea fishing in Dubai a good fit for groups with mixed experience: a first-timer and a keen angler can fish side by side.
Every trip is private. You never share the boat with strangers, and the plan is built around your group.
How a trip works, hour by hour
This is how a typical 4-hour morning trip runs. The times are a guide; the captain adjusts the plan to the sea on the day.
- Before you leave: we send the exact meeting point after booking. Arrive a little early, because your time starts at the booked hour. Every guest needs an original passport or Emirates ID. This is a Coast Guard rule, and guests without ID cannot board.
- The first hour: a short safety briefing, life jackets on board and the run out of the marina. On the way, the crew sets up rods, reels and bait and shows beginners how to hold the rod, drop the line and reel in.
- The second and third hours: the main fishing time. The captain moves between spots, for example along the breakwaters and then towards the reefs, instead of waiting in one place when nothing bites.
- The fourth hour: a last drift or two, then the run back to the marina. The crew keeps your catch on ice so it stays fresh for the trip home.
On a 6-hour trip, the extra time goes to fishing, not to travel. The hourly rate stays the same, and the captain has room to try more spots or reach grounds further out, such as the waters around The World islands.
Deep sea fishing Dubai: boats and prices
All four boats come with the same fishing gear and crew. The difference is size, guest limit and style. Prices are per hour for the whole boat, not per person, with a 4-hour minimum.
| Boat | Guests | Per hour | 4 hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| 36 Ft Luxury Oryx | up to 10 | AED 375 | AED 1,500 |
| 48 Ft Gulf Craft | up to 12 | AED 450 | AED 1,800 |
| 44 Ft Luxury Majesty | up to 12 | AED 475 | AED 1,900 |
| 34 Ft Sea Hunter | up to 12 | AED 650 | AED 2,600 |
The 34 Ft Sea Hunter is a dedicated fishing boat, a 2020 model built for this job. The other three are yachts that we run as fishing trips, with more room to sit back between bites. For a closer look at what a fishing trip costs, read our fishing trip prices guide.
What is included on every trip
- Rods, reels, bait and tackle, so you do not need your own equipment.
- A captain and crew who rig the lines, help you unhook fish and handle the boat.
- Fuel for the whole trip.
- Soft drinks, water and ice.
- Life jackets and a sound system.
You also do not need a fishing licence or permit for the trip. What you should bring: sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, light clothes, shoes with a good grip, and a cool bag if you have a long drive home.
Best season and time of day
The cooler months, roughly October to April, are the most comfortable time for deep sea fishing in Dubai. The air is mild, longer trips are easy, and this is when kingfish are more common. In summer the heat builds quickly, so book an early-morning start and you fish in the best part of the day.
Within any day, early morning and late afternoon are usually the most productive times. Fish tend to feed more in the softer light, and the sun is easier on everyone on deck. All our fishing trips run in the daytime.
What you can catch, and what nobody can promise
Common catches off Dubai include barracuda, queenfish, kingfish in the cooler months, trevally and a range of reef fish. Your result depends on the season, the weather and luck. No honest operator can guarantee a fish, and we do not either. What we can do is take you to good grounds at a good time, with the gear ready and a crew that helps every guest.

Taking your catch home
Whatever you catch is yours. The crew keeps it on ice during the trip, and you take it with you when you step off the boat. A few practical tips:
- Bring a cool bag or a box with a lid for the car.
- Take your photos on deck before the fish goes on ice.
- Plan your evening: fresh fish is best prepared the same day.
